Medeya Tsnobiladze

Originally from the country of Georgia, Tsnobiladze earned a Master of Science degree in Biophysics from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and then received advanced training in neuroscience during her PhD program at the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences.

In the United States, Tsnobiladze pursued further medical education, earning her Doctor of Naturopathy (ND) and Master of Science (MS) in Acupuncture from the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut.

Her diverse training and academic background help her take a multidisciplinary approach, looking at patient experiences in a truly holistic manner.

“I grew up with medicine being about everything in our lives: diet, exercise, physical therapy—none of that was separated. So I started looking for what I could do that would unite all of it for each patient,” Tsnobiladze says. “I love how aligned naturopathic medicine is with where medicine and science are now going in the United States. We’re moving toward individualizing the approach, looking into genetic makeups, treating each person as the individual they are. This is a foundational principle of naturopathic medicine.”

When she works with patients, Tsnobiladze integrates her clinical understanding of the brain with immunology, endocrinology, advanced labs, and herbal medicine. She enjoys listening to patients and investigating any problems they are facing to help find solutions that might have been overlooked or unresolved in the traditional health care system. “When I am working with my patients, I am trying to understand the chess game the body is playing,” Tsnobiladze says.

Tsnobiladze has spent much of her career teaching and has served as a leader in educating naturopathic medical students and physician assistant students. “When you teach someone, you have to keep reading research to know the latest information. I love not only reading about what’s new but also trying to process it in a way that is easily digestible for students and patients,” she says.

At Atria, Tsnobiladze uses metabolomics and genomics testing to perform in-depth assessments and develop personalized health plans to meet each individual’s preventive and treatment needs. She is excited by how quickly the medical field is advancing in its ability to harness technology to enhance personalized care, and appreciates working with colleagues who are at the forefront of these efforts. “Atria is a leader in understanding that technology and utilizing that to bring every individual the best care. This is the future,” she says.

When she’s not working, Tsnobiladze enjoys spending time with her family, hiking, reading, exploring herbal medicine, and taking care of her many plants.
