Internal Medicine

Dr. Nichole Corry is an internal medicine physician who takes a holistic approach to wellness and longevity, working closely with patients to provide personalized, preventive care designed to help each person feel their best at every stage of life.

Board certified in both internal medicine and obesity medicine, Dr. Corry has clinical expertise in weight management, mental health, women’s health, and chronic diseases such as diabetes and cardiovascular disease. She has served as a flight surgeon in the U.S. Navy, an assistant professor at Yale-New Haven Hospital, and as a primary care physician in multiple practices. These experiences provided her with a deep understanding of how to work with patients who come from a wide variety of backgrounds and health care experiences.

Dr. Corry earned her bachelor’s degree from Siena College in Albany, New York, and her medical degree from Albany Medical Center. After graduating, she was commissioned as a lieutenant in the United States Navy where she trained as a flight surgeon alongside pilots at the Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Florida. She then served as a flight surgeon for Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 465 in San Diego, California, providing primary and urgent care for the squadron.

Dr. Corry was deployed to Iraq with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 465 in 2003 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. There she served as the Squadron Flight Surgeon providing primary and urgent care during combat operations. Returning from that deployment, she was recruited to be the Medical Department Head for the Marine Aviation Weapons and Tactics Squadron One (MAWTS-1).

Her time in the military shaped Dr. Corry as a physician. “Serving as a physician in the U.S. Navy was truly an honor,” she says. “That feeling of being able to change someone’s life is unparalleled.”

Dr. Corry returned to civilian life to complete her residency in internal medicine at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire. She realized that one of her favorite parts of practicing medicine was building lasting connections with patients, so she sought out environments that would allow her to do just that. “I enjoy the relationships and being able to take care of people longitudinally—to help them fix problems and plan for the future,” Dr. Corry says.

After her residency, she joined a private practice in Connecticut and became an assistant professor at Yale-New Haven Hospital, the primary teaching hospital for Yale Medical School. She later worked for the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs and for Mt. Sinai’s practice in Palm Beach, Florida before establishing Jupiter Medical Center’s concierge care practice.

Dr. Corry creates a welcoming environment where her patients feel comfortable sharing their hopes, fears, and health goals. She knows the importance of tailoring care to the individual and wants to partner with patients on their health journeys.

“The first thing I do when I sit down with a patient is try to figure out where they are with their health, where their values are, and what is important to them,” Dr. Corry says. “It is really about understanding where the patient’s at, where they want to be, and how we get them there.”

In addition to her focus on internal medicine, Dr. Corry has additional training in obstetrics and gynecology. She has experience guiding patients through perimenopause, menopause, and hormone therapy.

An early lover of science, Dr. Corry has long been an enthusiastic proponent of preventive medicine and incorporates leading-edge treatments into every aspect of her care. When it comes to weight management, where she has extensive clinical experience, Dr. Corry says the development of safe, effective medications such as GLP-1s makes this a game-changing moment for weight and metabolic health.

Dr. Corry enjoys working with and learning from other specialists to create comprehensive health plans for each patient. “I love providing collaborative care for patients so we can get them support from every direction,” Dr. Corry says. “To have such a great team like Atria does for every patient is so exciting.”

Outside of work, Dr. Corry is an avid equestrian and lives in Jupiter, Florida, with her husband and daughter.
